Global Reach Partnerships

Global Reach Partnerships "Mentors" are (sometimes) money to enhancing the opportunities of their Mentees. In many ways, they are simultaneously a parent/sibling, a friend, and counsel. Mentors establish individual relationships with their Mentees, and serve as a source of knowledge, advice, assistance and companionship. The extent to which Mentors and Mentees interact is entirely dependent upon both of their expectations and abilities to do so.

Mentees

Global Reach Partnerships "Mentees" are members of newly resettled refugee community, coming from a wide array of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. One thing they do have in common is adapting to life in Vermont, which despite support from numerous organizations and people, is not easy. Mentees enroll in GRP in order to make more connections to their new community as well as strengthen connections to the own community with others who are also GRP Mentees.

Partners

Global Reach Partnerships "Partners" are individuals and organizations who, while not Mentors themselves, consistently donate significant time, services, products, and financial assistance to GRP and its Mentees. Many of GRP's Mentees are simultaneously facing many structural and financial obstacles (lack of transportation, paying rent, paying for and successfully completing school, working full-time, etc). Since GRP is a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization, any assistance GRP's Partners provide goes directly to fulfilling GRP's Mission of supporting its Mentees.

Affiliates

Global Reach Partnerships "Affiliates" are individuals and organizations who, while not Mentors nor Partners, also selectively donate their time, services and financial assistance to GRP and its Mission.
